Biography

Paralegal

Maya is a new paralegal at Ammarell Deasy. She got her start in the legal field working as a paralegal/trial assistant at a small criminal defense firm in Boulder, Colorado. Now she is excited for the opportunity to expand her legal horizons here at Ammarell Deasy. Maya obtained a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oregon in 2020 and went on to receive a Paralegal Certificate through Metropolitan State University Denver. She has always been interested in the world of law, and quickly fell in love with it, seeing it as a way to help people and make a positive impact in the world. Her day can consist of any of a wide variety of tasks, which can include communicating with clients and attorneys, coordinating scheduling, drafting documents and correspondence, managing case files, reviewing discovery, disclosing or filing documents, and whatever else is required of her to best serve the attorneys and client. She loves the supportive atmosphere at Ammarell Deasy and admires the care and passion that is demonstrated in every case that comes through the doors. She sees this opportunity as the perfect time to learn, grow, and develop her legal skills with the aid of a talented team. Maya was born and raised in Colorado and, after bouncing around the country for a few years, landed back home. In her free time, she loves to read, paint, crochet, and practice martial arts.
